Tickets for Art Rock, check. Train reservation, check. Embark his friends on the adventure, check. But have you fixed the activities to do on site? With less than a month to go before the festivities begin, here’s a quick guide to things to do during the festival.

It’s the first day and you’re bubbling with desire to find the first lives of the summer? On the Main Stage of the Art Rock festival, a maximum of stylish artists will pass the microphone and the amps to make you dance and jumper until the end of the night and this all weekend long. Among the not-to-be-missed concerts, don’t miss that of the Versailles quartet Phoenix, which is heading back to the festivals after several years of absence, and which will make their first stop in Saint Brieuc. If that’s not an honor! The group, which has been traveling the world for 20 years, notably with lives at the Coachella festival or at Madison Square Garden and a Grammy Award to their credit, has not stolen their status as ambassadors of the French Touch. With six albums and more than sixty titles on the clock, it was without much hesitation that the Breton festival entrusted them with the mission of making you completely goofball and getting your cardio working with their electro pop rock fusion.

The concert will be held on June 3 on the Main Stage of the Festival. The day ticket to access the festival is priced at 39€.

Step 2: get your guts pumped with starred dishes

After sweating like never before in the pit, it starts to gurgle in the stomach. At the Festival Village, throughout the event, you can savor small dishes concocted with love by the Rock’n Toques collective, and all to the music since you will find the Village Stage and the Metro Musicians there. The 13th edition of this culinary gathering will bring together a dozen chefs and pastry chefs, but also artists and celebrities. Starred chef Nicolas Adam will team up with Juliette Armanet to create a four-handed dish on Saturday evening and a four-handed dessert will also be made by chocolate and pastry chef Serge Abalain in tandem with LOSC Lille coach Jocelyn Gourvennec . We don’t yet know exactly what sauce we’ll be eating, but Art Rock promises us bold and original dishes for lunch, pancakes and galettes in the afternoon, and a starry brunch on Sunday…

Find the Rock’n Toques from June 3 to 5, 2022 at the Village du Festival.

Step 3: fly away for a moment in an imaginary world

Once satiated, it would not be a question of returning before a digestive cultural walk. This year, Art Rock entrusts the keys of the temporary exhibitions pavilion of the Museum of Saint-Brieuc to the shock duo Adrien Mondot and Claire Bardainne. This collective from Lyon is interested in the visual arts and the living arts which it links through shows and digital installations placing the body at the heart of the images. The digital exhibition Miracles and Miracles, made up of augmented reality devices, holographic illusions and video projections, makes us test the limit between illusion and reality. An incentive to discover the digital arts in a poetic way.

The exhibition “Mirages and Miracles” will be held from May 20 to June 19, 2022 at the Museum of Saint-Brieuc. Access is free.

Step 4: discover Egypt under a new face

And after this gentle stroll through an imaginary world, the festival invites us to set sail, heading for Egypt, with the choreographer Olivier Dubois, elected one of the twenty-five best dancers in the world in 2011 by Dance Europe magazine, and his company, for two performances of his show Itmahrag. Inspired by Arab festivals, the dance show gives a contemporary vision of Egypt by combining electronic “mahraganat” music with an incendiary dance. It’s going to heat up at the Grand Théâtre de la Passerelle.

The two performances of “Itmahrag” are scheduled for June 3 and 4, 2022 at the Grand Théâtre de la Passerelle. The place is at the price of 16€.

Stage 5: a healthy festival-goer in a healthy body

Stomping your foot wasn’t enough for you to prepare for the summer body? Among the many activities offered by Art Rock, we fell in love with yoga classes. Between two concerts, we can relax the spine and the chakras, in downward facing dog mode, at lunchtime, with sessions focused on energy, in the middle of nature at the Parc des Promenades, sheltered from the boom boom of the gigs. And if you’re not a fan of savasana, to get active while making a lot of noise you can opt for the parade bike! On Sunday June 5, between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., we will pedal through the streets of Saint-Brieuc to the sounds of a DJ Set, a trend that appeared not so long ago, and that we are dying to test. Art Rock this year, it promises to be sporty!

The yoga class will be provided on June 4 and 5, 2022 at the Parc des Promenades. The bike parade will be held on June 5 and will start from Place Duguesclin.

Step 6: Defend the issues of today and tomorrow

Among the novelties of this year, we will find on Saturday at the Petit Théâtre a conference of the “Art Rock Lab” which will focus on “Cultural and creative industries: territorial challenges and challenges of tomorrow” with Thomas Paris, Camille Pène and Hugues Aubin, in partnership with the French Tech Saint-Brieuc Bayet. Art Rock, this festival that boosts you with culture!
