VIDEO. The Delta, music festival on the beaches of Prado, unveils its novelties for the 2022 edition in Marseille

Commitment to young people and businesses, job creators for the region, guaranteed festive atmosphere… The Delta Festival returns this year to the Prado beaches in Marseille with even more novelties.

Last year, no less than two festivals were organized by the Marseille team, including “Together on the beaches” with a sold-out ticket office and the Delta which welcomed nearly 85,000 festival-goers. In 2022, they return to the front of the stage to give us back the taste of the party. On the program for this year’s novelties: a new village open to the international scene, a “World” edition organized over five days compared to three last year, five stages to represent all the continents of the world and (very) big heads of posters announced.

This year’s teaser was released last night on the official festival pages. The call to party will be heard by the whole world, from Marseille.

Sean Paul, PNL, Carl Cox… the line-up announces 250 artists over the five days of the festival. The names of 100 of them have already been revealed. We find among the headliners a wide choice of musical styles. Roméo Elvis, The Avner, Naâman, Poupie, Hatik, Polo&Pan, Rilès, Vladimir Cauchemar, Salut c’est cool, Tez Cadey, Étienne de Crécy or even Good hearer will be present. Local artists will also be put on the front of the stage such as Massilia Sound System, Kungs or the Maraboutage collective.

Raphael Palacci, from our region and winner of the springboard organized last year by the Delta Festival will also have the honor of going on stage to make himself known to the thousands of festival-goers expected. Unveiled this afternoon, the official poster mentions all the artists announced to date.

House, electro house, electro, rap, techno… this 7th edition promises to be grandiose at all levels. After “Woodstock” in 2021, the theme this year is international. The “World edition” of the Delta festival promises visual, sound and sensory immersion thanks to spectacular lighting and scenographic effects.

Each scene will be dedicated to one of the five continents. Between the pyramids of the “Mer de Sable” stage and the tropical forest of the 360° “Amazonia” stage, festival-goers will be able to travel without the need for a valid passport.

In the world of possibilities, we find all types of themes: entrepreneurship and life project, environment, health, living together, student life, water sports, gastronomy and art. To these will be added a new one intended for an international opening. In total, 5000m2 will be mobilized as well as 600 exhibitors and committed actors present to exchange with festival-goers.

Encouraging new cultural encounters, making festival-goers aware of certain transnational issues and challenges as well as promoting the advantages of international exchanges are the objectives of this new village. To take festival-goers on a journey, artistic performances, parades, screenings, culinary openings and conferences will be on the agenda.
