Parcours et jardins returns to the Burgundy district, in Orléans, for 3 days.

The Parcours et Jardins festival, organized by the ABCD association, is back for three days in the Bourgogne district of Orléans. Song, storytelling, dance, humour, theatre, exhibitions… all the arts will be there!

The CARIC@T caricature festival is also back this weekend at the Jardin des Plantes greenhouse. Twelve cartoonists from all over France are expected, and 180 cartoons will be exhibited. Caricatures will be produced live as well as signings. Also noteworthy is a special exhibition on caricatures of presidents, from Louis Napoleon Bonaparte to Emmanuel Macron. Finally, Dominique Lemarié, caricaturist-draughtswoman in the assize courts, will explain her profession and her work techniques.

Practice. Saturday May 14 and Sunday May 15, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., in the greenhouse of the Jardin des Plantes d’Orléans. Free admission.

3,000 museums, all over France and Europe, will offer this Saturday, May 14 a special program to discover or rediscover their rich collections. In the Loiret, nine museums take part in the event and organize specific activities.

The 67th asparagus fair in Tigy

After two years of absence, the Asparagus Fair is back in Tigy. This important festival, which has animated the village since 1953, shines far beyond thanks to the sale of asparagus, but also its many activities. It could attract, before the Covid crisis, 10,000 people over the weekend.

Practice. In Tigy. Free entertainment. On the program, Saturday: Bungee ejection (or bungee jumping), aperitif-concert with the King’s Size, then dance evening at the restaurant-fair. Sunday: garage sales in the morning, inauguration with music at 10:30 a.m., market with around fifty craftsmen and traders, concerts from 2 p.m. with Zik’Autain, Kawa, Jan wandering around and The Satisguys on the podium; then, at 4 p.m., Les Vagabonds (1960s standards).

The figure of the Reunionese Creole scene presents his seventh album, Thank you. Christine Salem has chosen here the virtuoso violin of composer and arranger Frédéric Norel as a red thread. Thus, the groove of the percussions of her island are mixed with the flights of the violin, of classical, folk inspiration… On her traveling tracks, in the colors of blues, maloya and rock, she gives thanks to her ancestors and sings of peace.
