As every year, the 4th weekend of July, the seaside resort of Mers-Les-Bains is being transformed to bring the “Belle Epoque” spirit back to life. This 20th edition is placed under the theme of theatre. All participants are invited to dress in period costume, competitions are organized for young and old!

Culture-nature-sport activities continue all summer long in Beauvais. To discover this weekend:

  • Friday July 22 at 9 p.m. at the Espace Buzenval open-air theater: free Summer Scenes concert with The Crappy Coytes and No Money Kids.
  • Friday July 23: free software workshop all day long (info on 03 44 79 42 84) and pony and horseback riding on the lake in Canada from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. In the evening, it’s Ciné Transat free from the ASCA to the Saint-Jean district with the film The Goonies.

We go from the Belle Epoque to the Great War with this event organized on Saturday July 23 and Sunday July 24 from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Musée de la Mémoire de Belleau 1914-1918. Immerse yourself, for a weekend, in a reconstruction of a camp of soldiers from the Great War, with the association “The hairy Marne.” Free activity and open to all! Great War again with sound and light offered by the Digger Cote 160 association in Pozières this Saturday July 23 at 9:30 p.m. A show in homage to the young soldiers who came from the Antipodes to fight in the Somme. A performance that combines digital projection and live performance.

The Bètchète floating show “Itinérance septentrionale” ends its tour on July 23 and 24 at 7 p.m. in Merlieux-et-Fouquerolles. The women-sailor artists take you on a journey to discover the traditional music of Hauts-de-France and Belgium. An eclectic creation that mixes original compositions, Chopin’s nocturnes, traditional music tunes. We rediscover real treasures from old audio and written collections, a tribute to the themes and melodies sung by workers, miners, but also bell ringers, carnivalists and gossips. This summer 2022, in the Baie de Somme, the pianist Didier Castell-Jacomin and the writer Eulalie Steens are launching Les Rencontres Musicales around the Piano, at the Chapelle des Marins in Cayeux-sur-mer. 4 concerts on the program: Friday July 22 and Saturday July 23 at 8 p.m., Sunday July 24 at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The Festival Unété dans le Valois returns in 2022 for an edition dedicated to music. 5 shows are offered on 10 dates. The singer Spelim is waiting for you this Friday July 22 at 6 p.m. in Fresnoy-la-Rivière and this Saturday July 23 at 6 p.m. in Bouillancy. Free admission, open to all!

A festival organized by the association Mad Taupe Productions in Mortefontaine in the Aisne all this weekend. And with a varied program: headliners, such as saxophonist Sylvain Cathala or pianist Andy Emler, hard bop, gypsy jazz, and funk and hip-hop accents. From July 20 to August 28, 2022, the night show “Valloires, the Lumière abbey in its gardens” returns for a 2nd edition, with a staging by Bruno Seillier, specialist in video mapping in France (the Eiffel Tower, the Mont -Saint-Michel, Notre-Dame de Paris, the Millau viaduct). It is therefore the first weekend to discover the spectacle on the facades of this 18th century Cistercian abbey located in Argoules in the Somme.

For 20 years, JACE has been organizing free public jazz concerts in the botanical garden located on the Champs-Élysées in Saint-Quentin. 6 meetings are scheduled this year at 4 p.m. And this Sunday, July 24, it’s Jérôme Etcheberry’s octet for Satchmocracy and a tribute to Louis Armstrong. Les Estivales at the Departmental Cultural Center of the Abbey of Saint-Riquier, it’s until September 18, with a varied program all summer long: concerts, exhibitions, workshops, visits.

This Saturday, July 23 in the gardens of the abbey at 4:00 p.m., 1st concert in the series of performances offered by orchestras and harmonies from the Somme, with the harmonies of Quevauvillers and Chepy-Fressenneville. Entry €2.

Sunday July 24 from 10:00 a.m. at Roupy aerodrome. The theme this year: “Women pilots in aviation.” On the program: aerobatics, re-enactment of 14-18 air battles, old and modern helicopters and planes on display, exhibitions and events and performances by the English Acrobatic Patrol of Team Raven and the Belgian Pitts Team.
