Without wanting to reduce the talent of the seven other groups of this 18th edition, two artists will be a little more expected in Lavault-Sainte-Anne this year.

First Martha High. Her name may not mean much to you, but for 35 years she was the James Brown’s lead backing vocalist, the godfather of soul! The notoriety of the second headliner is much greater. In the world of Latin jazz, the Cuban Roberto Fonseca is a big name. He was also on the bill at Jazz in Marciac last year.

“He is completely steeped in Cuban music. He was part of the Buena Vista Social Club. He is an outstanding pianist. High-flying. He injects a lot of things into his Cuban music that make it terribly fun,” explains Pascal Favier, director of 109, the current music scene in Montluçon.
