Cap Roig: a festival of stars near Barcelona

Christina Aguilera, Sting, Mika, Sebastián Yatra, Morat, Taburete, Miki Nuñez… This year the Cap Roig festival welcomes the biggest stars of the international and Hispano-American scene, for shows more catchy than the others. This weekend, Sebastián Yatra Friday 22, Christina Aguilera Saturday 23 and Stay Homas Sunday July 24 will make the public dance.

The festival takes place from Friday July 22 to Monday August 15, within the grounds of the castle and the botanical garden of Cap Roig, almost a century old and surrounded by greenery. All by the sea, 1 hour 30 by car from Barcelona, ​​an idyllic setting for a trendy international festival. A “gastronomic village” will adjoin the festival with various culinary proposals. In short, the best place for a crazy weekend.

Next to normal: an immersive musical

Calling all fans of immersive experiences and exhibitions: you can now see a musical in the same format, in Barcelona. And not just any musical: an authentic Broadway show, inaugurated at the Grec Festival in Barcelona. It is also the very first Broadway show presented in an immersive setting. The public is therefore inside the room, with the artists, who perform their show, embellished with music and a whole decor of lights and colors at 360 degrees. The show is performed in English with Castilian and Catalan subtitles.

Still at the IDEAL digital arts center, another immersive exhibition awaits visitors: “Pericot: extended art. Kinetic and cybernetic art”. A proposal full of colors and shapes including the Catalan artist Jordi Pericot, one of the first to experiment with technology and computers, for a very modern result, with repetitive patterns and design.

In addition to his works, the exhibition also offers interactive creations that dialogue directly with the creations of Pericot, visionary of digital art, true avant-garde of design.

Renaissance Festival in Tortosa: time travel

This weekend, it’s theater shows, music and time travel. Tortosa, a two-hour drive south of Barcelona, ​​is organizing its Renaissance Festival from July 21 to 24 and, for the occasion, the whole city goes back 500 years. Many theater, music and dance performances in period costume will be held, as well as a tournament of knights, parties in taverns or even a meeting with Leonardo da Vinci himself. SOM Summer Fest: free concerts every Saturday

Saturday is a free concert! Every Saturday in July, the SOM Multiespai shopping center in Barcelona offers free musical performances open to all, with deckchairs and straw hats included. Terrats en Cultura: outdoor shows

Open-air shows on the terraces of Barcelona and L’Hospitalet de Llobregat return this summer, with music, dance and theater to amaze you.
