It is under the theme “Emotions” that the Grands Feux Loto-Québec will launch their festivities this evening on the occasion of the first of a series of eight performances from the river (photo). The pyrotechnic feats will offer the full range of emotions felt over the past two years in the context of the pandemic. Joy, humor, fear and love will be honored in the form of four different tableaux, all staged in a playful and dynamic way, in a festive atmosphere. DJ Dom Perreault will start the evening and will host between each show. The DJ component of the evening is presented in collaboration with the new electro festival Unity Electro Fest, which will be held on August 13 at Expo Cité.

Great visit!

Jennifer Jones, the first female president of Rotary International and a member of the Rotary Club of Windsor-Roseland in Ontario, visited Quebec City recently during her Canadian tour marking the start of her presidency. She took the opportunity to go to Deuil-Jeunesse, an organization sponsored by the Club Québec-Charlesbourg, and, later, to meet with the officials of Cité-Joie in Lac-Beauport, sponsored by the club Québec-Est. His tour ended with a cocktail reception at the Aquarium du
Quebec with several Rotary members from the region. The Capitale-Nationale (8) and Chaudière-Appalaches (6) regions have 14 clubs for a total of 350 members. dream of youth

There is no age limit for having fun with model trains. A group of residents of the St-Augustin Pension Selection, with the collaboration of its general manager Dominic Bélanger and the Caisse populaire Cap Rouge–Saint-Augustin, have reconnected with a childhood dream. Indeed, they can “play” with small electric miniature trains by making them circulate on a very well organized rail circuit. Residents can have fun, watch how it works or simply admire this achievement due to the initiative of Louis Lebel (Photo). The latter even founded the Club Ferroviaire Sélection St-Augustin.
