When is Dungeons & Dragons: Honor of Thieves released?
Originally scheduled for July 23, 2021, the film has had multiple postponements, first to avoid being released at the same time as certain major blockbusters such as the latest Mission Impossible opuses (finally postponed), then because of the Covid-19 pandemic. We finally have a release date for the movie. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Thieves will be officially released March 1, 2023.
As noted in the trailer shown during San Diego Comic-Con, it’s At the movie theater given by the film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor of Thieves. Head to the dark rooms from March 1, 2023! It is then necessary to plan four for a Blu-ray and DVD release, and especially 15 or 17 months of waiting before the film is available on an SVOD platform like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video for example.

Dungeons & Dragons is neither more nor less than the most famous tabletop role-playing game and one of the very first of the medieval-fantasy genre. The previous three films, released in 2000, 2005 and 2012 respectively, failed to give Dungeons & Dragons fans the adaptation they dreamed of. This new feature film is in turn trying its luck and was presented as a reboot of the first three feature films. The honor of thieves is anchored in the mythology and the universe of Dungeons & Dragonswhile offering an original story.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Thieves brings the vast, magical universe of role-playing games to the big screen with an original adventure that feels like action. A band of unusual thieves makes a few enemies after stealing a relic and giving it to the wrong people. When evil forces are unleashed partly through their fault, they launch into an epic quest to try to fix their mistakes.
Who are the creatives behind Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Thieves?
The film is directed and scripted by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. It is to this duo that we owe Spider-Man: Homecoming, the first film in the Spider-Man trilogy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. On the production side, we find Brian Goldner (Transformers series), Jeremy Latcham (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Nick Meyer (Atomic Blond). The film’s music is composed by Lorne Balfe (The Crown).
What is the cast of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Thieves?
Our merry band of adventurers counts in its ranks Chris Pine (Star Trek) as the Bard Elgin, Michelle Rodriguez (Fast and Furious) in that of the barbarian Holga, Regé-Jean Page (The Gray Man) in the costume of Paladin Xenk, Justice Smith (Jurassic World: The World After) in that of the Sorcerer Simon and finally Sophia Lillis (It) appears to be a druid named Doric. The trailer also gave us a glimpse of the character that Hugh Grant (Bridget Jones), named Forge Fletcher, a thief who would seem to be the antagonist of this story.

A spin-off series Dungeons & Dragons was also announced in February 2022. Currently in development, it is to expand the film universe and at the same time serve as a basis for other projects based on this universe. Rawson Marshall Thurber (Red Notice) is the creator, screenwriter, producer and should also direct the pilot episode. It is not yet known on which platform the series will be broadcast.
