Discover the program of the 45th edition of the Concerts de Vollore (Puy-de-Dôme)

For the 45th edition of the Vollore Concerts festival, 15 events are scheduled in 14 towns in Puy-de-Dôme, from July 9 to 31.

Saturday July 9, in Sermentizon. Opening night with Laurent Korcia (violin), Julie Sevilla-Fraysse (cello) and Anja Linder (harp), three exceptional musicians gathered for “A journey with Schubert”. Meet at 8:30 p.m. at the church.

Sunday July 10, at Les Salles (Loire). “Mardi Gras – New-Orleans” evening for a return to the roots of jazz with the collective of Auvergne musicians Docteur Jazz Brass Band. Meet at 6 p.m. at the church.

Tuesday July 12, in Viscomtat. “Slavic Conversation” with Armance Quero, cellist who is a regular at the festival, and Dessilava Patrouilleau (piano) who will perform Bulgarian composers such as Dimitar Nenov or Liubomir Pipkov. Meet at 8:30 p.m. at the church.

A festive day in the birthplaces of the festival

Thursday July 14, in Vollore-Ville. Exceptional day with a program launched at noon with an aperitif-concert and free mini-concerts in private gardens (at 2.15 p.m., 3 p.m. and 3.45 p.m.) punctuated by the jazzy wanderings of the Happy Brass Band.

Two concerts (paying) are planned: at 5 pm, at the church, “Hispanic Colors” with the Tango Quartet accompanied by Emmanuel Rossfelder on guitar; at 8:30 p.m., at the castle, “a folkloric wind” by the trio formed especially for the occasion with Fanny Azzuro (piano), David Haroutunian (violin) and Pierre Génisson (clarinet). Saturday July 16, in Puy-Guillaume. World music evening with the Papiers d’Armenies ensemble led by Dan Gharibian, “a world star and a legendary group of Armenian music”, and his daughter Macha, Revelation at the Victoires du jazz 2020. Meet at 8:30 p.m. in the ballroom.

Sunday July 17, in Saint-Victor-Montvianeix. “From baroque to tango” evening with the three oboe players (Florent Charreyre, Willy Bouche and Yves Cautre) from the Zen Trio who will perform Bach, Mozart or even Piazzolla accompanied by Delphine Bouscot on the accordion. Meet at 6 p.m. at the church.

Tuesday July 19, in Celles-sur-Durolle. The Curious Bards and mezzo-soprano Ilektra Platiopoulou will present a program of music from 18th century Ireland and Scotland. Meet at 8:30 p.m. at the church.

Thursday July 21, in Saint-Rémy-sur-Durolle. Composed of Charlotte Juillard on the violin, Louis Rodde on the cello and Paloma Kouider on the piano, the Trio Karénine, very popular on the international scene, will highlight the romantic works of Mendelssohn and Brahms. Meet at 8:30 p.m. at the church.

The legendary Trio Ceccarelli will perform the opera “Porgy and Bess” composed by George Gershwin.

Saturday July 23, in Chabreloche. Jazz evening around the opera “Porgy and Bess” composed by George Gershwin and performed by the legendary Trio Ceccarelli (Pierre-Alain Goualch on piano, Diego Imbert on double bass and André Ceccarelli on drums). Meet at 8:30 p.m. at Salle Fernand-Bernard.

Sunday July 24, in Vollore-Montagne. For its first visit to the festival, the Quatuor Van Kuijk (Nicolas Van Kuijk on violin, Sylvain Favre-Bulle on violin Emmanuel François on viola and Anthony Kondo on cello) offers a program around Mozart, Beethoven and Mendelssohn. Meet at 6 p.m. at the church.

Tuesday, July 26, in Sainte-Agathe. 100% feminine, the Quatuor Zaïde (Charlotte Maclet and Leslie Boulin Raulet on the violin, Sarah Chenaf on the viola and Juliette Salmona on the cello) invites you to “an evening with Ludwig van Beethoven”. Meet at 8:30 p.m. at the church.

Thursday July 28, at Palladuc. “Coup de coeur” by Bruno Chanel who discovered him on social networks during confinement, pianist Vittorio Forte has selected a recital where Chopin, Rachmaninoff and Gershwin will be in the spotlight. Meet at 8:30 p.m. at the church.

Saturday July 30, in Courpière. All crowned with international prizes, the musicians of the Trio Klimt (Lucile Podor on the violin, Sonia Moshnyager on the viola and Julie Sevilla-Fraysse on the cello) will put the strings in the spotlight during an original program (Boccherini, Sibelius and Beethoven ). Meet at 8:30 p.m. at the church.

Sunday July 31, in Thiers. Closing concert in apotheosis with the trombone octet Reservoir Bones which will take over the music of films by Nino Rota, John Williams, Ennio Morricone and many others. Meet at 6 p.m. at the Saint-Genès church.
