Drome – Puy-Saint-Martin

An equestrian show with the Haras de Saumelongue

Like last year, the Haras de Saumelongue is putting on an equestrian show in the countryside of Puy-Saint-Martin, where this fifteen-hectare estate is located, route de Saou. Equi-Baila presents Wolf-seal stories, a family entertainment bringing together many storybook characters, from the Little Mermaid to Captain Hook and Alice in Wonderland. “We are about ten artists on foot accompanied by about fifteen horses. There is aerobatics, freedom, stilts, Hungarian post (standing on two horses) and many other surprises,” the company says.

At 7 p.m. on Fridays July 22, 29, August 12, 19, 26 and Saturdays July 30, August 13 and 27. Information on 06.59.45.69.29. 10 euros, 5 euros for children under 12. Duration: 1 hour.

Star party with the Astroclub

The Diois Astroclub of the Miyezaka association is organizing the Star Festival on Saturday July 23 in the town’s leisure area. From 4 p.m., you can observe the sun through the astronomical telescope and visit an astrophoto and painting exhibition.

Several conferences will be held: “The moon” by François Legendre, art historian, “Light pollution” with Ulysse Mariette from the Vercors Regional Natural Park and “Short history of astronomy” by astronomer Axel Tollens. Workshops and play areas will be offered to children. From nightfall at 9:30 p.m., observation of the celestial vault will be possible through the telescope with presentation of the night sky.

Entrance free price. Restoration and refreshments on site. Cancellation in case of rain.

A DJ initiation at Cristal Parc

This Saturday will be a first for the very recent Cristal Parc with multisensory activities, located in the Gare district of Piégros-la-Clastre. A DJ initiation workshop will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. It is intended for teenagers (from 12 years old) and adults. An original initiation led by Emmanuel Exbrayat, with his experience of fifteen years in this field. “The idea is to allow participants to acquire a certain training and also to make small pieces that they will be able to mix if they wish, in the evening on the Cristal stage”, explains Aline de Bretagne, president from the Association. And to add “The choice of music styles is very wide and is made according to the desires of people. This workshop will be offered every Saturday this summer.
Beyond this animation, other workshops are also set up at the same times on different themes: Wednesdays (creativity), Thursdays (around well-being), and Fridays (games). Note that the Saturday one, in addition to the introduction to the DJ, also has the theme of sound, light and music. All these workshops are free of charge and take place on the site itself.

The festival On the field! continues

The festival On the Champ! continues until Saturday evening in Valencia. The evenings are completely free and take place on the Champ-de-Mars. Friday, July 22, an evening of urban music is offered with, on the menu, Thaïs Lona (neo-soul) at 8 p.m., Poupie (trap, reggae, pop) at 9 p.m. and rapper Nemir at 10:30 p.m. Saturday July 23, blues and escape evening with Nicolas Paugam (pop-rock) at 8 p.m., Toulouse contour (French song) at 9 p.m. and Delgres (Caribbean blues) at 10:30 p.m.

The National 7, star of the weekend

From Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th June, the Fête de la Nationale 7 will liven up the streets of Montélimar, with the two-season campsite as the base camp. A drive-in evening with an open-air cinema will open hostilities, from 8 p.m., with two films screened.
The next day, a vintage exchange will bring together enthusiasts around car parts, motorcycles and cycles but also vinyls, furniture, old decoration, magazines… Many vehicles will also be on display. In the afternoon, more than a hundred two-wheelers of less than 125 cm³ will go for a ride, before the election of miss camping in the 50s/60s style, then a disco-funk evening.
Sunday will be the peak of the event. In the morning, the vehicles will parade on the Provencal alleys to form the famous plug of the National 7. Back at the campsite, a contest of elegance will reward the most beautiful crews, before a musical entertainment with a vinyl bar, then a yé concert. -yé who will close the ball. Enough to prolong the nostalgia of the N7 years.

The Canson and Montgolfier paper mills museum

Housed in the birthplace of the inventors of the hot air balloon Joseph and Étienne Montgolfier in Davézieux (Nord-Ardèche), the Canson and Mongolfier paper mill museum takes visitors through the history of papermaking in the region.

Located in the Vidalon district, where the first paper mills were installed in the 16th century, the museum presents historic machines over more than 500 m². In about ten rooms, period objects and explanations provide an overview of the history of paper in Davézieux, manufacturing techniques, and the daily life of papermakers. Certain sets, such as the commercial office or the paper mill laboratory, have been reconstructed.

During the summer, the museum is open daily from 2:15 p.m. to 6 p.m. Admission costs 6 euros for adults, 4.70 euros for 6-16 year olds and free for children under 6 years old.

A castle in sounds and lights

After the shows offered in Aubenas in 2019 and 2020, in Tournon-sur-Rhône in 2020, and Vals-les-Bains in 2021, the Ardèche will once again be honored by La Région des lumière with, from July 22 on August 15, a stopover in Joyeuse and its castle. A new lighting which should sublimate the noble building at nightfall, recalling its history, its historical past through an artistic creation by Gilbert Coudène, of the company Les Allumeurs de rêve
